MERIT DOCKET Tuesday, July 24, 1990 90-378. State, ex rel. Natl. Broadcasting Co., v. Lake Cty. Court of Common Pleas. In Prohibition. This cause originated in this court on the filing of a complaint for a writ of prohibition. Upon consideration of relators’ motion for immediate relief and upon consideration of relators’ and respondent Paul H. Mitrovich’s motions for summary judgment, IT IS ORDERED by the court that relators’ motion for summary judgment be granted, effective July 23, 1990, to the extent that: (1) broadcast coverage of the trial of defendant Alice Lundgren be permitted in respondent’s courtroom subject to the provisions of C.P. Sup. R. 11 and Canon 3A(7) of the Code of Judicial Conduct; and (2) such coverage shall include one camera and one camera person with tripod to film the trial, with cables and accessories necessary to establish a coverage pool among the relator television stations, and a monitor for the public in a nearby room outside respondent’s courtroom.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that respondent Mitrovich’s motion for summary judgment is granted to the extent that respondent’s order of March 6, 1990, is upheld insofar as it prohibits changing of film in the courtroom during court proceedings.
